Journey into Disaster
I proudly present chapter
5.02. Dispute and reconciliation
The in the Philippines arrested Thomas Heger has two friends as visitors.
So I quickly ask: “Franco, do you have any other clothes with you?”
“No, not at all! I thought you would be released from prison today.”
Michael finally shows a reaction to Franco’s speeches, shrugs his eyebrows and repeats: “We all thought that.”
I remember my bad situation: “Damn crap, I thought so too. Do you know, Franco, that the boys are being interrogated again? Now in this building.”
Franco is surprised: “Again? You and the parents need professional help!”
“I am waiting for the offer from Attorney Paternesto. Marielou is already on the way and brings it. Also De Baron’s offer. And my family said that the German embassy in Manila might also have Attorneys. I couldn’t call yesterday because the police were gone. I have to do this today. Maybe even Skype is allowed? After that, I’ll decide which Attorney I take.”
Franco looks thoughtfully: “Tommy, do not wait for so long! Every minute counts. The longer the case lasts, the harder it will find a quick solution!”
Michael throws the cigarette into the rusty bin: “Franco is right, Tommy. We mustn’t waste any time!”
“Well, Marielou is coming, and I’ll call my family later. I mean, I hope the police will allow me to call. Franco and Michael, please do not argue.”
Michael and Franco nod. Michael quickly ignites one and Franco stuffs the last piece of cake in his mouth. He chews and mumbles: “Pastor Jack was drunk. Sorry, Tommy.”
